How do I turn the Laser on?
Press the button at the top of the laser.
Where should the belt be worn?
Wear the belt so that the center of the laser is directly in line with and about 3 inches below your navel. Make sure that the laser unit is snug to your body.
How do I put the target/poster up?
We provide you with push pins for the wall that the target can hang on. You could also use tape or other types of wall hooks.
Where do I put the target/poster up?
Place the target on the wall so that the x axis or horizontal line on the target is approximately the height of your waist.
How far should I stand from the target/poster?
We recommend that you start about 5 feet away from the target, but the rule of thumb is “if you can’t complete the patterns in their entirety, while using a reasonable amount of exertion, step away from the wall until you can.” The goal is to get to where you can complete the exercises from 2 feet, but that is very advanced and should only be attempted if you are experiencing no pain whatsoever.
Is it OK if I am 10 feet away?
If you are experiencing severe back pain or recovering from some sort of injury it is likely that your range of motion and flexibility will be very poor and it is completely normal to be 10 feet away from the target. Continue to use the Core Laser everyday and you will be closer in no time.
Does the Laser adjust?
The laser hinges on the bar of it’s housing unit, so the beam adjust up and down.
Where should the beam of the laser start?
When prepositioning to do your exercises make sure that the beam of the laser is pointing at the origin of the axis or right in the middle of the target.
What if the laser won’t stay where I position it?
It is possible that the laser will become loose. Simple turn the small screw at the bottom of the laser and it will tighten right up.
How often should I use the Core Laser?
Exercise with the Core Laser everyday if you can. Many users exercise with the Core Laser twice a day.
How long does it take to use the Core Laser?
5-10 minutes is all the time it takes to reap the benefits of the Core Laser.
When is the best time of day to use the Core Laser?
We recommend that you use the Core Laser in the morning, right after you wake up and in the evening before bed.
Can the Core Laser Hurt Me?
If you watch the instructional video and follow it closely, you shouldn’t incur any injury. However, like any exercise program, if you continually feel pain discontinue use and consult your physician. Also, avoid direct eye contact with the beam of the laser.
I know the Core Laser can help to relieve back pain, what else can it help?
Many athletes use the Core Laser as a training aid and a prehabilitation or rehabilitation device. Many Core Laser users notice a positive change in their sex lives.
Can I use the Core Laser around my pets?
Do not use the Core Laser around your dogs or cats.
How long does the laser last? Do I need to get a new battery?
The Laser should last for 75- 100 hours of use on one battery. The battery used in the laser is a CR2 and can be found at any grocery or drug store. Make sure to turn the laser off after use to preserve battery.
How far apart should my feet be?
Your feet should be about shoulder width apart. Since everyone’s anatomy is slightly different foot placement will vary.
Should I bend my knees?
Always start with a slight bend in the knees, during the course of the exercises your knees will straighten at times, which is fine.
I don’t have much pain but I wonder how the Core Laser can help me with my fitness regime?
When you focus on the specific muscles that control your core you enable the body to function more effectively and efficiently. This can translate into a more effective workout for your personal fitness regime.
How can the Core Laser help me train for sports?
All power is generated through your hips. Whether sprinting in a straight line or rotationally swinging to strike a ball, strengthening and improving control of your hips and core area will increase your potential speed and power delivery in your sport.
I have intermittent back pain but don’t have any pain now?
This exercise is recommended for its simple low impact approach. This is ideal for prevention of injuries and overall physical health. Using the Core Laser is a great way to keep your core tight and healthy.
How does the laser help with other activities?
Using the Core laser stimulates an important mind body connection, which improves your ability to perform movements correctly. By taking the time to concentrate on these simple low impact exercises you will develop an awareness of correct motion, which will benefit any physical activity you partake in.
These exercises seem too simple?
These exercises are based on the concept of quality not quantity. The key is to concentrate on the correct movement. Training the small stabilizing muscles of the core and hips will build strength in areas you don’t normally reach. The correct procedure is far more important than how many times you do it or how fast you get it done.
How fast should I be trying to go?
Speed is entirely dictated by the quality of your movement. There should be no jerky or stiff motions. The exercise will begin to feel very smooth after practice with continuous movement.
What muscles am I working?
Core Laser helps you work on stabilizing muscles of your core area including the Multifidus, Transversus abdominis, internal obliques, and gluteus medius. These muscles act to maintain posture so that the larger mobilizing muscles can act more effectively. The stabilizing muscles contract at low levels over extended periods of time. It is important for stabilizing muscles to be functioning optimally for all overlying movement pattern to be effective and safe.
How does muscle imbalance occur?
Sometimes, the stronger mobilizing muscles around the spine can override the smaller stabilizing muscles. This is muscle imbalance. Using the Core Laser is one way to recruit the smaller stabilizing muscles in order to achieve a more balanced system of muscle function in the spinal region.
